ROE DEER HUNT IN GEMENC KESELYŰS

The Gemenc area, covering 20,340 hectares and situated entirely in the floodplain, is managed by the forestry offices of Szekszárd, Bátaszék, Hajós, and Pandúr. The characteristic big game in this region includes red deer and wild boar. The red deer population living here is globally renowned. The experience of hunting roaring red deer in this area is unique and incomparable. The well-organized driven hunts with significant results are well-known among both local and international hunters. Depending on weather conditions and terrain in the vicinity of the area, transportation options include horse-drawn carriages, off-road vehicles, or horse-drawn sleighs in winter. Due to the abundance of mosquitoes, the use of insect repellents is recommended from May to October.
