RED DEER HUNT IN SZENTEGÁT

The hunting ground Szentegát spans over 4,800 hectares in the western part of Baranya County, south of Szigetvár and belongs to the Zselic Hills landscape. The woodland coverage of the hunting ground is 40%. Dominant tree species include oak, beech, linden, and sessile oak. The mixture of beech and silver linden gives the landscape a special atmosphere. The forests are surrounded by agricultural areas in a narrow strip. The area is rich in springs and watercourses. Approximately 120 hectares are planted as game fields annually.
