RED DEER HUNT IN NAGYMÁTÉ

The Nagymáté hunting ground spans over 4,600 hectares in the northwestern part of Baranya County and belongs to the Zselic Hills landscape. The woodland coverage of the hunting ground is 65%. Dominant tree species include oak, beech, linden, and sessile oak. The mixture of beech and silver linden gives the landscape a special atmosphere. The forests are surrounded by agricultural areas in a narrow strip. The area is rich in springs and watercourses. Approximately 120 hectares are planted as game fields annually.
