RED DEER HUNT IN DÉL-VÉRTES

The forestry of Dél – Vértes covers 6,600 hectares of hunting land. Approximately 90% of this area, located 25 km from the M1 motorway and Székesfehérvár, consists of diverse forested areas with a wide variety of plant life. This environment fulfills the needs of all large game species and includes hunting fields and pastures integrated into the extensive wooded blocks. With the exception of fallow deer, all native large game species are represented in the area. The annual culled population is structured as follows: 200 red deer, including 50 trophy stags; 190 wild boar, including 25 male boars; 70 roe deer, with 22 bucks; and 74 mouflons, of which 16 are rams.
