FALLOW DEER HUNT IN GYARMATPUSZTA

This hunting area extends over the picturesque former estates of the Sándor and Metternich noble families on the southern slopes of the Gerecse Mountains, just 45 km away from Budapest. Situated between Tatabánya and the Danube, it features a low limestone hill. The forest cover on the 7,700-hectare area is 63%, consisting of oak, beech, Hungarian oak, and white acacia trees. Within the region, there is a 690-hectare mixed game park, a 330-hectare wild boar enclosure, and a historic game park dating back to 1830, covering 300 hectares and boasting an exceptional wildlife population. The mouflon, deer, red deer, and wild boar populations are of excellent quality. In fact, in 2004, the Hungarian record-holding mouflon ram was harvested here.
