FALLOW DEER HUNT IN FARKASGYEPŰ

The hunting area in Farkas gyepű extends along the northwestern slopes of the Bakony Mountains. 70% of the area is covered by forests, mainly with beech, oak, and hornbeam trees. The total area of the hunting ground is 13,100 hectares. The existing game species include red deer, fallow deer, roe deer, mouflon, and wild boar. Various hunting methods such as stalking, stand hunting, and driven hunts are possible. Annually, 50 stag trophies may be sold, averaging around 6 to 8 kg in weight. In addition, guest hunters harvest about 100 roe deers each year with antler weights of approximately 270 grams, and around 300 wild boars are culled.
